Modular MES for manufacturing
Manufacturers who know their floor make faster decisions, waste less, and outperform competitors who are still running on gut feeling and paper. Mantsu is the modular MES-layer that makes it happen, fast.

Manufacturers are under pressure and the margin for inefficiency is shrinking. Meanwhile, most still run their shop floor on paper, spreadsheets, and gut feeling. Manufacturing deserves tools that help them stay ahead, not ones that hold them back.

Mantsu's templates are built from years of batch manufacturing experience, so you're not starting from scratch. You start from a proven foundation and customize it to fit how your floor actually works.
Your production process evolves and your software should too. Mantsu adapts when you add a new line, change a recipe, or open a second plant.
Interfaces built for the people on your floor, prioritising usability over complexity, so your team is productive from day one.
// MODULAR BY DESIGN
We believe MES is not one monolithic system. It's a layer of connected modules that work together on your floor. Start with what hurts most. Add more when you're ready. Adapt when your production does.
Active
Order Cockpit
A one-stop-shop for your operations in a single view
Active
Downtimes
Every machine stop registered the moment it happens.
Active
List (SOP)
Checklists your team actually executes, with proof, every time.
Recipe Management
Faster changeovers and fewer errors with the right parameters to the right machine, every time.
Quality Management
Catch quality issues during production before they become scrap.
Insights
One reporting layer across all modules, turn floor data into decisions.
Communication Layer
Connect any machine, old or new, to your MES via MQTT and OPC-UA.
Extensions
Additional modules built from recurring customer needs, ready to deploy as a starting point.

“By choosing a modular MES, we're no longer tied to a vendor's product roadmap. When we need something on the floor, we can adapt, fast."
// FOR WHO

Your production process is too unique for off-the-shelf but a full custom build is too slow and too expensive. Mantsu is the starting point that fits your floor without starting from scratch.

You want to digitize but not bet everything on one big project. Start with one module, prove the value, expand when you're ready.

Your existing MES does part of the job but gaps remain. Add Mantsu modules where your current system falls short, without replacing what already works.

A new plant, a new line, an acquisition: your production landscape is growing. Mantsu gives you a digital foundation that rolls out fast, while keeping everything standardized.
// FAQ
Won't separate modules create a fragmented system?
That's exactly what the Mantsu Core prevents. Every module — Downtimes, Quality, Order Cockpit, Lists, Recipes, Insights — runs on top of one shared foundation that manages all your master data: locations, equipment, materials, and shifts. Define it once, and every module uses it.
Can we start with one Mantsu module and expand later?
That’s exactly how Mantsu works. Start with downtime tracking on one line. Prove the value. Then add quality inspection, or roll out to a second plant. Each module stands on its own. There are no hidden dependencies that force you to buy more than you need. And because you own the code, you can adapt without coming back to us.
How quickly can we go live with Mantsu?
The first module goes live within three months of signing. That’s possible because we don’t start from a blank page, we start from proven production templates built from years of hands-on batch manufacturing experience instead of a blank page.
Do we need to replace our ERP to use Mantsu?
No. Mantsu is the missing layer between your ERP and your shop floor, not a replacement for what already works. The communication layer integrates with SAP and other ERP systems via standard protocols, and connects to existing machines and PLCs via MQTT and OPC-UA. You add, you don’t replace.
Does Mantsu require us to adopt a new technology stack?
Mantsu is built on Mendix, a proven low-code platform used by thousands of enterprises worldwide. For your IT team, that means working with standard tooling, not a proprietary black box. You own the codebase and run it on your own infrastructure. If you ever want to switch implementation partners, nothing locks you in at the application level.
What is a composable or modular MES and why does it matter?
A composable MES is a production execution system built from independent modules you combine and expand as needed. As opposed to a monolithic system you have to implement or replace all at once. For batch manufacturers, that matters: no two production lines are identical, and no two product families require the same production logic. A composable approach lets you start where the pain is greatest — downtime tracking, recipe management, digital checklists — and expand once the value is proven.
How is Mantsu different from a traditional MES like SAP ME or Siemens Opcenter?
Traditional MES systems are built for enterprise environments with large implementation teams, long project timelines, and fixed architectures. For a batch manufacturer that means 12 to 24 months of implementation, a team of consultants, and a system that forces your production process to conform to the software. Mantsu, our modular MES on Mendix, reverses this. We start from proven templates built for the specific way batch manufacturing works and adapt them to your process.
